Prevent Illegal Medical Devices, Medical Devices can be registered online

Jakarta, medical equipment is one of the vital parts in diagnosing and treating disease. To prevent any illegal tools, registration of medical devices can now be done online, eliminating the need for face to face.

The e-Regalkes online licensing is to improve services in the field of medical devices and medical supplies household. With this system, the applicant does not need to come to the counter unit integrated services in the Ministry of Health of Indonesia Jakarta, so they can effectively and efficiently.
"Hopefully, with the ease of obtaining the license on it to prevent and reduce illegal entry of medical equipment (not listed) to Indonesia," said Prof Ali Ghufron Wamenkes Mukti, MSc, PhD, at the launch of the e-Regalkes and Single Sign On (SSO) in MoH office, Jl HR Rasuna Said, Jakarta, Friday (12/21/2012).
The system also prevents the entry of medical equipment imported under the standard, such as technology harmful to humans and the environment, as well as low quality due to lack of clarity about the appliance manufacturer. It also helps protect the public.
Meanwhile, Maura Linda dra Sitanggang, Apt as the Director General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Ministry of Health of Indonesia said that the system is also ready to facilitate international standard domestic industry.
"Medical devices must be registered with the Ministry of Health and through the evaluation of safety, efficacy and quality or quality.'s All the same for foreign and domestic, the domestic industry was raised to be equal to the imports," said Maura Linda.
Maura explains the system also is more transparent so that it can reduce the possibility of corruption in the procurement of medical equipment. Yet remain efficient and competitive in terms of innovation.
"The higher the risk the higher the grade so (the) longer, with online can be faster thus reducing face-to-face and no requirements are reduced," said Maura Linda.
