Health budget for the Prevention


JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government would take advantage of the health budget to health efforts, not to mention health response. Allocating budget for prevention is more important because of the health care costs can be reduced. However if the focus on the treatment will only make budgets swell.


"The government, especially the ministry has allocated 60 percent of the health budget to health efforts," said Deputy Health Minister Ali Ghufron Mukti, in discussions held Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) on Monday (01/14/2013) yesterday in Jakarta.

According to Ali Ghufron, focuses on keeping them with better health care community nutrition problems. "One of these nutrients. Going forward should be improved again," he said.

Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association of Clinical Nutrition (PDGKI) Professor Razak thatâ on the same occasion assess nutritional problems is one that should be prioritized in health development. "Nutrition is an important health indicator," he said.

According to him, if nutrition is to be conscious of every people of Indonesia, the health problems are almost completely solved. "Especially for the poor, or just above the poverty line, the government needs to make regulations on nutrition in favor of them," he said.

Chairman of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) Sudaryatmo Taha supported the statement. "Pregnant women and young children need support, especially on nutrition, because that's when the brain is developing. If you do not get good nutrition then it will print an incompetent generation."
