IDI: Always Use Shoes to Flood Area!


JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - People are reminded to use shoes or boots flooded to the site when they want to flood your legs protected from a variety of injuries and injury due to exposure to sharp objects, said Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association Dr Zaenal Abidin.
  

"When the floods, people often ignore the safety conditions of the foot, but is often injured because of a sharp object carried by the flood," said Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI PB) Zaenal Abidin when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday (01/17/2013 ).
  
Zaenal Abidin said the floods that hit some parts of Jakarta should actually make the public increasingly aware of their health, especially when walking or floods hit the unknown can actually carry sharp objects.
  
According to him, a number of diseases such as leptospirosis, itching, and worms threaten residents during floods and such conditions should be a major concern, particularly in parts directly exposed to flood water.
  
"The feet are the body parts that come into contact with the dirty flood water. Would step we do not know what, there may be sharp objects carried and trampled," said Zaenal.
  
Therefore, he argued, people should not forget the shoes, it would be better boots, now through flooded areas in order to remain terlidungi feet and was unharmed.
  
Zaenal warned, it also applies to the volunteer or donor aid to victims of latticework, to always use the boots at that aid to avoid foot injury and is infected by a disease.
