Same-sex Sexual Behavior is getting lots of controversy. There are health effects that may arise as a result of sexual behavior. One is sexual health problems.

Anal warts and genital warts are one of the diseases that can occur in those who perform same-sex sexual activity. The disease is caused by a virus known as human papillomavirus. Human papillomavirus is a sexually transmitted disease that affects as many as 50 percent of sexually active people, as reported by LIVESTRONG.

Researchers explained that there were more than 40 types of human papillomavirus and only some types can cause warts on the genitals and anus. Some types of HPV can actually cause cervical cancer and abnormal vaginal cells. HPV also cause anal, penile, and vulvar.

The most common way for people to contract HPV is by having sex oral, vaginal, or anal sex with someone who has the virus. One of the difficulties of detecting this disease is because you can not see directly if your partner has warts in the vagina, anus or penis.

Experts explain that the genital and anal warts often appear in the form of a small flesh-colored, small bumps or lumps like cauliflower. Genital warts can occur in groups or single. Anal warts can grow in areas outside of the anus, rectum and on the interior.
