In commemoration of cancer worldwide in 2013, the theme of which was delivered was "Cancer-Did You Know?". Cancer prevention is a healthy lifestyle, one with no smoking, alcohol consumption, poor diet, obesity, excessive stress, air pollution and environmental pollution.

In a release written by CISC, United Nation Against Cancer (UICC) expect further hikes in the world of cancer of the 12.4 million new cancer cases (2008) to 27 million (2030), 7.6 million deaths due to cancer (2008) to 17 million (2030), and 25 million people living with cancer (2008) to 75 million (2030). The average number of cancer patients are developing countries including Indonesia.
