Still Sleepy Morning? Check Your Diet


VIVAlife - How did you sleep last night? Did pretty well, or even disturbed. If you are having trouble sleeping, chances are nutritional foods consumed less balanced.

A recent study for the first time demonstrated that nutrition plays an important role in sleep duration. Varied food intake, in the sense that it contains many different vitamins, can create healthy tidut pattern.
Reported by the Indian Express, researchers from the Perelman School of Medicine University of Pennsylvania analyzed the data of National Health and nutrition survey (NHANES), sponsored the U.S. CDC. They observe the quality of sleep in two different groups.
The group had a shorter sleep duration, consumes calories at most. While the group with normal calorie intake and calorie intake have hours sleep a little longer.
The study, published in the journal Appetite was also found when participants mengasup the most varied diet, have the healthiest amount of sleep. Nutrients including protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
Sleep disorders linked to lack of vitamin C, water intake, selenium (commonly found in nuts and meat), and lutein from green vegetables.
While those with sleeping too long associated with deficient intake of theobromine (chocolate and tea), dodecanoic acid, choline (eggs and meat), carbohydrates, and excess alcohol intake.
"Overall, those who slept 7-8 hours every day mengasup different diets, compared to people who sleep too short or too long. Less varied food intake was also associated with lack of sleep or sleep too long," said Dr. Grandner as quoted by the Indian Express.
This finding is extremely important, because lack of sleep associated with overweight and obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
