Nutrition Problems Include All Members of the


JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Nutritional Problems in Indonesia are not only experienced by the poor, but almost evenly across all income levels. Data from the Ministry of Health said the 5-level classification of incomes in Indonesia, malnutrition or less was found.

The data mentioned for the first group is the poorest, there is still an indication of malnutrition to less weight gain as much as 28.6 percent, 47.8 percent stunting, overweight 12.4 percent, the second group to 19.9 percent less weight, stunting 42.4 percent, 12.4 percent overweight; third group to 17.3 per cent underweight, stunting 37.9 percent, 12.9 percent overweight; groups of four to 15.6 percent less weight, stunting 34.4 percent, 14.2 percent are overweight, and group five to 10.8 percent underweight, stunting 28.9 percent, and 14.9 percent are overweight.
"Still prevalent nutritional problem. Logically if the income is good, rarely found any nutritional deficiencies, but in reality is still there. Contrast, the poor instead found overweight," said Nasir.
According to Nasir, nutrition is an important indication of health. Therefore, to make the society healthy, essential nutrients for repair. Nasir added that Indonesia has three prerequisites towards the nutritional status of individuals and communities who are more qualified. The first is that individuals have access to nutritional information through the National Literacy Movement Nutrition.
"People need to have easy access to information about nutrition," she said.
